Read, meditate, and obey. Heaven often feels quiet only because we are ignoring what it has already said.
Since you refuse to listen when I call and do not accept my rebuke, I in turn will laugh when disaster strikes you.
God Still Speaks
Any Christian who says God does not speak today like He did in the past is being economical with the truth. Yet many make long journeys to hear God through a so-called mighty prophet.
Many times I am tempted to dismiss those gimmicks as wasted effort mostly born of sheer disobedience. These perennial sojourners keep moving from prophet to prophet because they are more attracted to drama than to the simple, clear, straightforward Word from the mouth of the Lord.
Read, Meditate, Obey
If all of us read God's Word and followed what we hear, we would realize we do not need other insights from the so-called favourites of God. Read, meditate, and obey.
If however you read and ignore what you hear, you will keep complaining that heaven is quiet while all the time heaven is saying, first obey; further instructions will come, and your fellowship with God is going to be fresh and vibrant.
