Patience is better than pride. Do not be provoked in your spirit, for anger resides in the lap of fools.
The Mirror Of The Word
When I read and reflect on such texts, I keep starting my prayer times with repentance and cries to God for help. I cannot hide myself from what the mirror of God's Word is clearly revealing about my frailties.
Even small things, like repeated missed phone calls, can expose pride and impatience in me. This text is a sharp rebuke for that kind of policy, and I admit that I am still a construction site. God is not through with me yet.
Used While Under Construction
But can God use a fellow with such weaknesses? Yes. God does not have perfect people this side of heaven to use. He has always used imperfect men and women.
I find it important to share this because some believers shrink back from serving, saying they are still too far off. But that is our God. He specializes in using weak vessels. He occupies incomplete houses. Construction sites. So, my brother, my sister, get up and start using your gifts and talents. Mengine mta-sort na Mungu mkiendelea.
